Business & Nonprofit Blogging FAQS

Nope! I believe that human-crafted, audience-serving blog posts are a powerful tool for building trust and connection. Unlike AI, I'm able to ask the right questions to generate stories and pull all your ideas together into unique posts that support your core messages and build your know, like, trust factor.
-
One thing I hear from clients all the time is "Wow, it sounds like me, only better!" After writing for hundreds of brands, I've learned to be a bit of a brand voice chameleon. Part of my process includes brief, regularly scheduled phone calls where I gather your perspectives on upcoming topics, ensuring your brand voice is present in every post. Nothing generic here!
-
Turning all of your ideas into clear, value-packed posts can be tricky, even if you're a fantastic writer. Beyond saving you time by writing for you, I'll serve as a thought partner, helping you strategize about what to write and how to get the most impact out of each post.
-
We'll spend an hour on Zoom together every two to three months to discuss possible topics and ensure your voice and thoughts are present in every post.

Blogging increases site traffic, but that's just one of the reasons to start blogging. Your small business blog does so much more, including increasing brand awareness, boosting customer engagement, and establishing thought leadership in your field.
-
Businesses with blogs on their websites receive 55% more web visitors, according to HubSpot. Your blog will give people and search engines a reason to visit your site. Well-crafted posts are also highly shareable and can be repurposed to create social posts, emails, and more that point back to your site.
-
Yes, your posts will be delivered on a regular schedule, and you can submit a round of written edits before they are finalized and approved.
-
At the beginning of your blogging retainer, we'll establish content pillars for your blog and begin brainstorming keyword-focused, message-aligned topics. On our planning calls (which take place every 2-3 months, depending on post frequency), we'll determine upcoming topics and discuss them before I do additional research and start writing.

I offer two blogging retainer packages: one post/month or two posts/month. You can choose the option that best fits your goals and budget. Typically, the upcoming month's post drafts are delivered by the last day of the month prior.
“Amanda and I have known each other for years, but we’ve never had an opportunity to work professionally together until Reach Out and Read started looking for a way to share our expertise and perspective more consistently. We just didn’t have the internal bandwidth to turn ideas into finished pieces regularly. We thought a blog could be helpful for establishing our thought leadership, but we needed help visioning it out and getting it off the ground.
What I’ve appreciated most about working with Amanda is the intentional and collaborative process. She took the time to really understand our mission and audience, and she translated sometimes (often!) complex or technical ideas into writing that feels approachable and aligned with our organization’s voice. The process has felt easy and seamless, which has allowed us to focus on substance rather than worrying about every detail.
Ultimately, the impact has been deeper than we could have imagined. Not only have we been able to raise the profile of our work, but we’ve also been able to point stakeholders, funders, and partners to the work as a centralized source of information for our opinions on all kinds of related issues in literacy and pediatric health care. It has given us fresh talking points for presentations and conversations, and we’ve heard positive feedback from readers who say they feel more connected to our work because of it.
I’m a huge fan and couldn’t recommend Amanda more highly!
