Wondering what it’s like to work with a copywriter?
Here are some questions I get asked often.

  • I consider myself a bit of a hybrid of a conversion copywriter and a creative copywriter.

The conversion copywriter in me gets into your ideal customers' heads so that I can write copy that helps them say YES to your offer. Conversion copywriting is research and data-driven.

The creative copywriter in me gets into your and your ideal customers’ hearts. It’s where I use my deep listening, my empathy, and my creativity to craft messages that sound like you wrote them—messages that help people to know, like, and trust you.

  • No, but I have a "type"!

I work with small businesses and entrepreneurs from across a wide range of industries. A common thread in all of my clients is their commitment to defining their values and letting those guide the unique way they do their work. If you consider yourself a heart-centered, values-driven, or creative brand, I am likely an excellent fit for you.

I also find that many of my clients have been in business for at least a year. This time spent "living in their business" helps them clarify their copy and messaging goals and provide rich anecdotes, examples, and details that strengthen the writing.

  • Copy should ideally come before design so that your designer/developer can build out your site with user experience and content in mind. My website copy packages include basic copy wireframes that give you a visual roadmap to how your copy is intended to function on your site. Please note that a standard web copy process takes approximately six weeks from kickoff to delivery of finalized copy (though depending on the project, anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks is possible).

  • It varies, but I do often book out a few months in advance. Remember, if you are investing in professional help with your copy or messaging, you want to get the most out of the process. It's always better to have ample time to prepare, reflect, and get it done right than to rush. Please contact me to inquire about available kickoff dates.

  • No, I do not write for any multi-level marketing consultants or franchises. I specialize in copywriting for entrepreneurs and independently owned small businesses.

  • I'm based in Central Massachusetts and love supporting the growth of local small businesses and entrepreneurs. I also have clients from all over the United States, thanks to the wonders of video conferencing. All work is currently done remotely using video conferencing, phone calls, and email communication.

  • My brand messaging, website copy, and ongoing content writing packages are priced at flat fees that account for the discovery, strategy, writing, and editing needed to achieve successful results. I do offer payment plans that break up your investment over several months. Please book a call to discuss your goals and get pricing for the packages that best fit your needs.

  • I find that my clients get the best ROI from our work together when they come to me with clarity about their goals, services/products, and audience. As a copywriter, my job is to synthesize and communicate your messages, not create your packages or help you goal-set. I also suggest booking your project when you have the mental energy and actual time to devote to the process. I do the heavy lifting, but your feedback is crucial!
